CS2 activation servers' shutdown: In January 2013, Adobe Photoshop CS2 (9.0), with some other CS2 products, was released with an official serial number, due to the technical glitch in Adobe's CS2 activation servers (see Creative Suite 1 and 2).
Photoshop CC (14.0) was launched on June 18, 2013. As the next major version after CS6, it is only available as part of a Creative Cloud subscription. Major features in this version include new Smart Sharpen, Intelligent Upsampling, and Camera Shake Reduction for reducing blur caused by camera shake. Editable Rounded Rectangles and an update to Adobe Camera Raw (8.0) were also included.[56]
Be prepared to uninstall and reinstall if needed. Adobe applications were already installed when I upgraded my test Mac to High Sierra. After the upgrade, some older Adobe applications had licensing errors. I was able to fix these by uninstalling and reinstalling those applications, and the lesson here is to always make sure you have all of the information you need (such as license keys or registration numbers) to reinstall any of your key software. You may also need to reset Adobe licensing files on your Mac (see Registration servers, update servers, and activation servers below).
Otherwise, if you are unable to find the disc media or serial number that was provided with your purchase, then you may be out of luck. However, volume license customers can still retrieve the volume license perpetual installation files at
Your Photoshop version should be compatible with the Camera Raw plug-in version to open CR3 files. If it is not, then upgrade it. The latest Photoshop will support the maximum number of cameras and their RAW file formats.
Once installed, simply register with the credentials you received upon purchasing the product. If you do not have your registration details either, I would suggest chatting with an Adobe representative to discuss your options: -productkb/global/find-serial-number.html (simply click the Chat Now button at the bottom of the page).
Previously, we learned how to transfer photos from your camera or memory card to the computer using the Adobe Photo Downloader, and we saw that one of the features available to us in the Photo Downloader is the ability to rename the files as they're being transferred. In that tutorial, though, I mentioned that it's often better to wait until you've had a chance to browse through your images and delete the ones you don't plan on keeping before renaming them. That way, you can rename the keepers as a continuous sequence, without any gaps between one image number and the next. When you are ready to rename them, the fastest and most flexible way to do it is with the Batch Rename command. 2b1af7f3a8
